Bad fuel pump symptoms

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Admittedly, I cannot think of a correlation of hesitating and backfiring on turns with anything in this question. I suppose if the air intake amount or fuel delivery amount is in question perhaps this could make it more pronounced - but underneath it all, something is losing down the idle and causes a disconnect.
