What is your question?
I recently bought a 1998 ram 1500 2wd with the 5.2l magnum. The speedometer and odometer ( stuck at 160k miles) are not working. I replaced both sensors on the rear dif and the transmission. It did not fix my issue. The obd port doesn’t seem to work either with a couple different obd readers plugged in. Any advice helps.

Hi, my name is Devin. I am auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having troubles with your vehicle. If your speedometer and odometer aren't working after replacing the sensors, the issue might lie within the wiring or the instrument cluster itself. A faulty instrument cluster is a common problem in older vehicles and can cause both the speedometer and odometer to stop working. Since your OBD port isn't working either, it suggests there might be an electrical issue or a blown fuse that's affecting multiple systems. Checking the fuses and wiring connections for any signs of damage or corrosion would be a good next step. If the problem persists, a professional diagnostic might be necessary to pinpoint the exact issue.
