trying to pull a dodge ram automatic 4x4 behind my rv. was not sure what was involved. Anyone know steps to do so I do not burn up transmission?

I would look in your owners manual, there should be some instructions for you about this situation. Every 4x4 system is a bit different and if you make a mistake, it can hurt or damage your vehicle.
