I have a 96 Dodge pickup and all at once overnight I got back in it the next morning and I have never had any problem with it but when I turn the starter over it goes real slow and finally it starts but it will not idle, it did this both at the same time

Then, once a known good battery is installed, you should check the charging system to ensure it's working properly as well.
