Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Is there a trailer hitch and wiring harness attached to the back of this vehicle? Have you checked for power at the rear lamps? Ground? Something is interrupting one or both of those -- Time to start tracing wiring, which is why I mentioned the question about a trailer hitch or harness. That's where I would be focusing attention.
