goes dead driving and will not restart for awhile

started going dead for no reason. would restart soon then got to were it took hour or longer to start. changed out the coil and fuel pump seemed to take care of the problem then it started cutting off again but started back after only a few min. I do some mechanic work, also ti is not showing a code?????
