doesn't do it until the engine heats up.....timing chain was put back right...the noise seems to be coming from the engine and pushed thru the cam shafts where its loud too 2004 dodge intrepid se

about two weeks engine light isnt on or was but went off today actually

Hello, hard to say what could be making noise without a physical inspection. It would sound relevant to consider that having been in the area of the timing components and accessory drive belt that a tensioner pulley could now be making noise. Just a guess - but worth looking into.
Thanks Dave..And I understand....My best guess too....I put a new tensioner in when I did the water pump....16 hrs...could prob. do in 12 now. lol.. Again,,Thanks
