What is your question?
On the way home it cut off on me the fuild light came on then started acting weird light it wouldn't change gears then it cut off said it was over heating and wouldn't start back up let it set over night and today it would start just fine til it's put in gear in reverse or drive and then it runs rough and cuts off when u dont put it in gear and cut it off it sounds like it's going to back fire like a misfire or something like that the check engine light has been on for 4 days before this issue the code reader said it's the O2 senor for back flow downstream bank 2 now it stays running while in gear just runs rough and has almost like a knocking sound
What makes this problem better or worse?
When the car goes in gear it runs rough then shut off and fuild light comes on
How long has your 2001 Dodge Intrepid had this problem?
Just happened yesterday

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Uh-oh! Our intrepid Intrepid needs some TLC! Either way, the rough running and knocking sound could indicate a misfire, air/fuel delivery problem, or ignition issue. Although, I'd expect a misfire code to be present if it was a problem with the ignition system. The overheating and transmission shifting problems could also be related to the engine performance issue. But I'd recommend checking the transmission fluid and coolant levels when the car is on a level surface and not hot just in case. Fluid lights mean some systems aren't happy. Whether it's the coolant light or the oil light, the fact that it overheated is what matters. Don't drive it and have a professional diagnose it ASAP!
