Dies when I try to accelerate.

What is your question?

This problem came on all of a sudden. I drove the car for a short distance with no problems. When I parked and it sat for a few minutes I couldn't start it. After repeated attempts to start it I finally did only to find that it will idle just fine but when I step on the gas pedal the car dies.
