after several tries would run now just dies in a couple seconds can shut key off and on to keep it going until i leave it in run it dies

have the fuel pressure checked. it sounds like a failed fuel pump. Roy

even when it stalls>> if it is good, then i would look at a spark control issue. Roy

Check the crank shaft positioning sensor. I currently have a 96 Intrepid and I had a 93 Intrepid as well, and they both needed the sensor changed. It will cause the car to just shut down and as the sensor gets worse, it won't start again until it gets ready to do so.
