ignition switch

I am having the same problem with my 96 Intrepid. Mechanics tell me the air bag light being on should have nothing to do with the heater and electric windows operating but I know better. My 93 had the same issue but I was able to manipulate the steering wheel to get the air bag light to go ff and the heater and windows would work again. I am looking for answers and so far it seems to be either the ignition switch burn out on one side or the clockspring breaking. I don't know for certain but these seem to be the most common suggestion for this issue.
