What is your question?
MY daughter bought a Dodge Grand Caravan in November of 2022. After she drove it off the lot she had to return it in a few days because of the ticking noise it was making under the hood. The dealership said it was the lifters and they replaced them. Now its doing the same thing and they are replacing lifters. found out they only replace four of them. Don't know what it is going to cost. This is disgusting. Weren't they supposed to replace all 24 of them? Haven't had this vehicle for a year yet and my daughter has this big problem and probably a big expense. She had an old clunker Grand Caravan that never had this problem but everything else was going bad and it was all rusted out. Any help or suggestions with this big headache?

Hi, this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! From the sounds of it, I'd be aggravated too! The only consolation I could provide would be options for a second opinion, which we're happy to do. As for not replacing all the lifters the first time, if they're an authorized Dodge dealer, I've not found any documentation that states to replace all 24 as a set, while it seems like the common sense angle to take I'd seek clarification (possibly even some sort of compensation given the circumstances) directly from them. If you have any other questions or would like to help with finding a RepairPal Certified shop in your area for a second opinion, give us a call! 877-913-1554
