Brakes are overheating. Smell burning. Had brakes check and calipers and both okay. What else can it be/

This is a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan with 65,000 miles. Mechanic cleaned everything on brakes and calipers and said they were not the problem. Any ideas? We heard this seems to be a problem with Caravans. Ideas? Thanks
