The key fob for my 2009 dodge caravan wont fit in ignition

Car was turned off for 5 mins and when I went to restart it the fob doesn't go in. I can get the tip in and it moves around to start position but dont start. Dash said bad key but theres no deformity or anything I can see blocking it
