My van is using about a quart of oil every 3000 miles. What cound be the problem

i dont think there is a problem. normal oil consumption for todays engines is a quart every thousand miles. Roy

change the PCV VALVE THEY GET STUCK OPEN..plus when you dont change your air filter regular it pulles the needed air from where ever it can get it thus the oil is sucked out of the PCV..IT GETS DIRTY AND STAYS THAT WAY OPEN AND SUCKING OIL FROM THE VALVE COVER
