A good mechanic should "know" if your fuel pump is bad by testing not "thinking, guessing" that it is bad.if you want to replace the fuel pump module assembly yourself, depending on the 8th digit of your vin#(R or E) and the brand pump you buy,you could do it yourself for $90.00-$200.00(ordering from ROCKAUTO.com),again depending on which brand pump module you choose.if you have it done at a shop, then it would be around $450.00-$750.00.
