When to replace front and rear shocks on van with 72k miles

What is your question?

My 2005 Grand Caravan SXT may need shocks in rear and possibly front (fronts replaced at 35k). My van is now 72k miles. Is there a way to determine if the vehicle does in fact need new shocks.
