Thanks. I found a post on another site by a man who bought a trip computer from a salvage yard and put it on his 1998 Dodge Caravan, and didn't have to re-wire, so it has been done, but I didn't know whether it would work on later vans, such as 2006. It looks like a simple switch out to me, but I'm completely ignorant of how cars are wired.
