Why wont my van start? The engine cranks but doesnt start. For a few days prior when i started it, dash lights all came on and gauges dropped. After 20 seconds it fixed itself. Today it wont start.

Around the corner is very likely correct in that assessment. I recently had the same issue (last weekend!) with my Dodge Ram. Luckily there are a number of sources from which he can track down a replacement that will be a fraction of the dealerships price. Good luck!
