I'd suspect fuel pump failure. You should be able to hear the fuel pump run for a second or so when your assistant turns the key to RUN or START if you listen at the uncapped fuel filler. If so, check spark. If not, the fuel pump may have failed or isn't getting power. This could be because the fuel pump relay in the Power Distribution Center may have failed. You should be able to feel it click when the assistant turns the key to RUN or START.
