My van's ABS light comes on and then the odometer and park, reverse, neutral etc... lights start flickering and then the battery light comes on. Some times when I step on the brake it will kill the power to the radio for a few seconds or it will kill the whole engine. Sometimes when the automatic door locks, lock, it does the same thing. I turned the headlights on one time and the van jerked and it killed the whole engine but came right back on. The van has had 2 new alternators and a new computer and it's still not fixed. I am 3 1/2 months away from not having my van for 1 year because of this problem.
ok, I would have someone else look at it as it definitely has to do with the charging system. they may have missed something with the repair. Roy
It has been at 2 different machanic's since last May and they are the ones who have put the alternators and new computer on the van and they are the ones who can't figure out the problem. Thank you for your help though.
I have already had "2" new alternators put on the van and it didn't fix the problem.
