* I replaced the fluid and filter. * I checked for damaged or lose wires and hoses. * Shift cable and linkage seam to be adjusted correctly. It doesn't feel like it's binding up. *** transmission was rebuilt about 2 years ago.

Very likely you will need to go to a shop to have it checked. I would suspect a solenoid pack issue.
