wipers do not work only if pressing the switch from the side, then wipes once. The motor works other wise it wouldn't function at all. I have taken it to 2 shops, one charged me for some part and still did not work. Could the problem be in the lever.

I had the same problem! Had to replace the body control module. Module is located on back of the under dash fuse panel. To remove body control panel, you must remove the inspection cover, then remove the kick plate cover,10 No# ten metric bolts. You will have to remove negative battery cable. next remove the two white bundle connectors at the bottom of the body control module. next remove the four (4) bundle connectors on the front of the fuse panel. These are four No# 12 metric nuts. Then remove the three mounting nuts on the fuse panel. You have to work the fuse panel down from under the dash. The body control module is attached to the fuse panel with three no# 8 metric bolts, remove these. Next pull down on the body control module and detach from fuse panel. You have now removed the body control module. To replace simply reverse process.
