What is your question?
I have a 2017 Dodge Challenger SXT 3.6L with about 99k miles. The check engine light has been on since I bought the car from the dealership about 4.5 years ago. The car has always run completely normal — no knocking, no oil pressure warning light, no overheating, and no drivability issues. I’m now due for a smog check, so I finally scanned it at O’Reilly’s. The codes are: P06DE (Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Stuck On) P0128 (Coolant Thermostat – Coolant Temp Below Regulating Temperature) I always use 5W-20 full synthetic oil. My most recent oil change used a FRAM oil filter. My questions: Could the oil filter be causing the P06DE code? Is this likely an oil pump issue, or something simpler like a sensor or solenoid? Would I need to fix the thermostat (P0128) to get the check engine light off and pass smog? Again, the engine runs perfectly fine and has for years. Just trying to figure out the smartest next step before replacing an oil pump unnecessarily.
