Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Without personally hearing the noise firsthand and understanding the general direction, it may be coming from, it is difficult to give you any advice. Clicking may come from an engine that has operated very warm, cooling down. But different clicking from the dash could be something related to the climate control system for example. Hands on evaluation is needed.. As far as the windows, it sounds like maybe a global opening of the windows is being depressed on one of the remotes. Or something triggering a similar response. Using a diagnostic tool for the vehicle, a technician will be able to determine what may be happening that could be preventing the windows from working properly and maybe even cause the clicking in the dash...along with not detecting the fobs.
