Hi, I cannot think of any correlation other than some kind of electrical wiring issue that is comprised of the same wiring harness. Have a quick look under the hood - is there any evidence of rodent activity? I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes rodents like to eat wiring and hang out under the hood of a vehicle which is nice and toasty in cold weather... Nonetheless, there are other possible causes as well - such has physical damage history causing issues with wiring and connections. Does the throttle control eventually return? Does it require restarting the vehicle? The only correlation I can find is that the engine processor gets power via the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). Perhaps there's a communication loss between the TIPM and the PCM causing loss of function to both the ECT and the ETC? (Engine Coolant Temperature and Electronic Throttle Control respectively). I'd suggest having a shop near you have a look. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554. We'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area.
