Hello, when this brake system light comes on, does it flash or blink and then go off again? If so it is likely caused by low brake fluid level in the master cylinder where the brake fluid is stored and added. If the fluid is too low it may reach a point where it sets the light off intermittently until it is really too low and leaves the light on solid. Check here first. Note that a red brake light being on is a major safety issue. Read is a sign of extreme warning.
