What is your question?
The touch screen of our 2009 Chrysler Town and Country has been unresponsive at times in certain locations of the screen, particularly the top left area, and now seems to be completely unresponsive in that area. On the screen for radio, SAT, TV, my son pushed where it said TV, and it is stuck there. I can no longer get on the radio because it is totally unresponsive to touch now. The strange thing is, when I hit the menu button and it takes me to the SAT Video Menu, I can touch functions in that left upper corner, and it works just fine, but is again unresponsive in that area when you switch from the Radio to Media screen. I was wondering if a new screen is needed or something else? Also, is there a way to simply get it back on the radio by going to factory default settings in some way?
What makes this problem better or worse?
It has gotten worse over time. At first it would take a long time of tapping the area to get a response and now it will not respond as described.
How long has your 2009 Chrysler Town & Country had this problem?
a few days

Hello, The only idea I have is to disconnect and reconnect the 12 volt battery under the hood and see if that "reboots" the audio unit. I suspect the touch screen will continue to be a problem, but perhaps it will reset the unit. I am unsure. Seems like the only other thing to do would be to locate the factory equipped car audio system repair shop near you. Most major cities have one to service the audio units when they malfunction. It may be costly to fix what ends up being an antiquated audio unit for your vehicle, but it might be the best decision anyway. Worth searching for such a shop.
