suddenly using oil at 89000 miles?

If you read the manual, or talk to most honest Dodge/Chrysler dealers, they will tell you that your minivan consumes about 1 quart of oil every 2000 miles or so. It happens later into the mileage. That is why it is so important to check your oil at 3000 miles. You can go to 6000+ miles before changing it. But you will add 2 to 3 quarts within that 6000 miles.
