Installed brand new car battery - van won't start - what could be the problem?

Make sure you have a good connection on the battery. Maybe try to jump start with another vehicle. Battery may me just weak enough to not start the car.

If no lights on dash, may be connection. If you have power,but a no crank situation, then you have something else wrong. Could be starter,ignition switch, security system or fuses.
