Why is my 2007 Chrysler Town & Country not starting

We bought this van last month it ran great we went to the store about a week ago came home shut it off we were about to go somewhere else about 5 hours later and it did not start and has not started since any ideas? It is not the fuel pump you can hear that kick on however if you spray starting fluid in the air box it starts for a moment but only for a moment all research says that have something to do with gas! However the check engine light blinks and with other research that means gas goes into the catalytic converter however you cannot smell gas whatsoever.
