Knocking/Pinging noise coming from the engine

the is no engine light on, no one has check this noise yet as 10/29/09 but I can say the noise has fade out a lot since I started using the octane booster I can hardly hear it any more, I think it might be a case of really bad gas since then I have change gas stations and it seem to improved thank you for the response SR , will keep you posted
