do I need a hex head wrench, a torx socket, a standard or metric wrench to remove the front rotor?

You would need a hex only if the bolt is recessed. Its most likely metric but test both or check your manual it will state which one and guide you through the repair.
I own a 2001 Town & Country Limited. A 7mm allen wrench (I use it on a socket) will remove the two caliper bolts. Then remove the metal spring clip on the outboard side of the caliper. A 21 mm (13/16") wrench is then needed to remove the two caliper bracket bolts. The rotor can't be removed until this bracket is out of the way. I needed a hammer and the 21mm wrench to remove the bolts. (First tried the large 21mm spark plug socket but cracked it on the bolt - the box end wrench and hammer was needed.
