the battery lite comes on it a new battery and the alternator is fine too we had it checke

Hello, if your battery light is on, something is malfunctioning in the charging system. Please have the alternator checked for both amperage output and voltage. My guess is that something is not working properly there. Other than that, check all battery cables and alternator wiring connectors for melted terminals or faulty connections.
