My alarm system acts irradically on my 1999 Chrysler Minivan.. I have tried using the key as instructed,to no avail. How can I disable the alarm system?

What makes this problem better or worse?

disconnecting the battery cable is the only way to stop the horn.

Try unhooking the battery for around 10 min ensue your battery is fully charged then hook it back up
