Runnin hot after long trip, what's wrong? New water pump, head gasket, pvc hose

runs hot after an hour, cools back when turn on heat/vent. water pump only 1 yr old, gets regular oil change/tune ups levels are good in radiator recently had computer re-programmed and had problems with temp since.
