how can I eliminate musty odor coming from the HVAC?

With the full vent on, I repeatedly sprayed lysol disinfectant at the windhield inlet and let it flow inside the van. The odor is mixed with the disinfectant air. It didn't do any good. Your suggestions is highly appreciated Phil
