why my pt cruizer stop by itself.. while on the slow drive on the red stop sign

first the car wont run.. they said its a breaks ..i change the breaks.. now the car stop by itself.. i do the change oil .. and still when i slow down to the red lights the engine stop.. that makes me nervous.. a few minutes i starts the car in it run.. so my biggest fear.. why if its stop and dont starts so im stuck on the freeway...pls.. give me the espicific result of my problems...i need to work and this car is my only way to go to works...pls help
