Is there also a fuse that goes along with the shifting of the transmission?

Trannys are tricky, it could be from not having a fluid and filter change to needing a complete rebuild. Any codes that show up with the ck rengine light? If there is code have it read at local parts store and if it is not shifting do not drive it. Also ck the fluid level with the dipstick, the owners manual details how to do that.
