There is a smaller wire coming off your positive battery lug. That wire provides power directly to the instrument cluster. Remove the positive battery lug (only after removing the negative one…) and clean the connection where the wire attaches to the lug. It is very popular that the arrangement corrodes there and that wire looses connection. You must remove the bolt that goes through the lug to properly clean it. Use sandpaper.
