vacuum line issue 05 pt cruiser

Hard to say for sure. With vehicle running, try spraying carb. cleaner on the vacuum lines. When the engine suddenly surges, you have found the bad line. Make sure none of the hoses is squeezing shut when vacuum has engaged.
