What is your question?
My model is a touring edition with cruise control. Automatic transmission. After an oil change i had a few months ago, I had a problem where the engine would shake while I'm stopped at an intersection or in idle, but it would only do it while the A/C was on. Then about mid-may i had a problem where I was driving on the highway at around 70mph and the car just started slowing down. I didn't have my foot on the brakes, I had it on the accelerator, and it just kept losing speed. When I got it to start picking up speed again it wouldn't let me go over 65mph. Recently after that it started doing it frequently, and when it does this I can use cruise control at all. I was able to get the car running right sometimes by turning the car off and then back on. Then a few days ago I tried to go into town and the problem showed up again as usual and I pulled off the road to restart it and when I tried to turn it back on it just made a repetitive clicking noise, and it wouldn't turn on at all. Has anyone had the exact same problem cause I don't know what's wrong, but I start college in a couple weeks and I need my car fixed before then.

Can you get the diagnostic codes read out of the engine control module? Some parts stores will do this for free. Post the codes here and we can try to help you out.
i am also having a similar problem.the other day i turned the a/c on for the first time,(i only have 39,000 miles on the car)it's an '05,when i turned the a/c on the car sounded weird and bogged down,i thought it was going to stall at the red light so i turned my a/c off.now i don't dare use it at all.i have no idea what the problem could be but i can say i don't care for the pt cruiser and will not buy another one.
Well we tried coding and gauging for what was wrong but whatever the problem is, it is throwing all da codes and stuff. once we got it to show just 1 thing was wrong and we replaced that part but the problem is still there, so gauging and coding aren't really any help in solving the dilema. I need to know if anyone else has had this type of problem before and knows how to deal with it. But the odds are probably very slim. Like I said, we don't know what's wrong, but my dad thinks it is an electrical problem that is throwing all da codes and whatnots.
The codes you get out of the system are clues as to where the problem lies, they are very useful. A code may come up for an oxygen sensor, but it can be several other things that cause that code to appear, and that applies to each of the hundreds of codes that can be stored. So, if you can provide the codes that would be a huge help, and let me know what parts you replaced too. Thanks.
