turns off while driving

I have 2001 Ltd Edition. Tried several things that didn't solve problem. Mechanics said only other thing they could recommend, because it had worked for other Chryslers with same issue---replace computer. Did & that solved the problem. 2-3 years had to replace again...this time it just flat stopped without warning. 1st time it stopped when I would slow down at a light or when parking. Would always start up again...until the day the engine completely stopped when I was in the middle lane of the freeway. Fortunately I always drive the speed limit...which is at least 5-10 mph slower than anyone else. I had plenty of room and momentum to get to the shoulder & call my mechanic to come pick it up a few days early. Had planned on taking it in the next week for the computer replacement. New computer has solved the problem both times. Depending on availability & who does..$500-$700.
