Replaced shift linkage cable, now car won't start in park but starts in neutral
What is your question?
I replaced the shift linkage in my wife's 2002 chrysler pt cruiser touring edition today and now it won't start in park. I can apply the brake and start it in neutral and it shifts through all the gears fine and drives smoothly, but no start in park

Is it adjusted properly? NVm about the nuetral safety switch. IS it adjusted. Did you allow the vehicle to be on a flat surface and not roll and place it in nuetral and loosen the crossover cable adjusting screw and allow the shift lever and crossover lever to relax in the nutral position or did you just tighten it how you thought? Loosen and relax it. then tighten and don't allow anything to discourse while you tighten it then check for proper starting.
