how difficult and time consuming is it to replace the heater core on this car? is there a home kit to discharge the AC or does this have to be done in a shop?

The a/c would have to be discharged and the refrigerant stored (not achievable at home). Labor to replace the heater core according to my labor guide is over 6 hours.
