What type of oil should I use. The reason I ask is I had the oil changed about 2 weeks ago and it has been missing when idle or picking up speed. Can you tell me could the wrong oil cause this.

Typically the grade of oil is not going to cause your issue. I would suggest 5W30 or perhaps 10W30 for even warmer temperature use is correct. Your oil fill cap may actually say which one is preferred. Misfires can be as simple as spark plug or wire issues, or as complex as base engine or cylinder head/valve train issues.
