What is your question?
Hello. I just took my 1994 Chrysler New Yorker to get e-checked, and it failed on NO (NOx). HC and CO were within specification. The reading for NO was 830.2 @ppm and the spec is 796.0 @ppm. The Vehicle was at normal operating temperature. This vehicle was checked last year, and passed. Just curious for some suggestions on where to start, to fix this issue, for I have been out of the car business for a long time.

EGR valve is responsible for controling the nox. if you do not have the valve, the converter is the controller. also, make sure the cooling system is working correctly as high engine temp will give you high nox. Roy

Thank you for your reply. I do have an EGR valve. Also, there are a total of 3 converters on this car. ANy more insight? Cooling system seems to be working properly. Hmm..this car has an EGR solenoid. What could I do personally, to see if the EGR solenoid is opening up the EGR. If I put direct vacuum to the EGR itself, the EGR opens and closes, etc, so I would have to assume that the EGR itself, functions, but I am wondering if the EGR solenoid is not.
