I have a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker When I got the car I had to read place the felines when I turn the key on you could hear the fuel pump Kik on Drove it home went out the next day to start it all it did was check so took the starter off and had it took fixed it was something on the side of the starter so I put the starter on so turned the key on I don't hear the fuel pump kik on so put gas in the intake still don't start up I have done checked all my fuses I just don't understand what going on
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, Check the connections at the starter and battery, and make sure the battery is fully charged. Then, the fuel pump relay can by bypassed to see if it runs/gets power. If the fuel pump does not run with the relay bypassed, replace the fuse to be certain, then check for power at the fuel pump. If no power at the fuel pump, time to diagnose the circuit. If power and ground are present at the fuel pump and it does not turn on, replace the fuel pump.
