Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your 2016 Chevrolet Trax. When stop leak is used it is designed to find the smallest leaks and plug them off to prevent the leak from occurring. The downside to using stop leak, is in many cases it will also find other small areas like turbo lines or engine oil passages that are small enough to be plugged off by the stop leak which in turn can lead to internal turbo or engine damage or complete engine failure in some cases. This can also lead to excess oil pressure build up sometimes which can create other leaks. I recommend having the engine fully inspected to identify the source of the leak. Once the leak has been located it can then be repaired properly. The oil system may also need to be flushed out to remove any excess stop leak to prevent this issue from occurring again.
