Original Symptoms: fuel level fluctuating, not able to fill gas tank. 2 days later battery dead. Removed tank line to canister, able to fill. Found vent valve always energized-closed. Replaced purge valve, replaced vent valve, canister, fuel pump w/pressure switch. Blew out lines, they were clear. Had to leave vent valve disconnected in order to not drain battery.
Only noise was when vent valve is closed removing line off the canister or removing gas cap releases a rush of air.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Only problem is not being able to fill tank when the vent valve is energized closed
